Skateboard brands have been trying to manufacture stronger and lighetr decks for the past few years! 2008 will be another year of discovery of new technologies and that is precisely what we will see in this article.
Almost: The first über we had tested was a limited model that was nogt aiming toward large retailers, but it is now certified that Almost has developed the über technology for the mass market. Let’s see if the decks will be as expensive as in our test.
Otherwise, new Impact Support series with Impact Dude. Always the same technology but a new serie of drawings.
Alien Workshop: Not really a
new technology but rather a graphic one as Alien is relasing "filming board" carried out in collaboration with Greg Hunt. A board that has everything you need to film such as an insert with the "Focus Chart" and white balance.
White balance: In video, white balance is to set the camera to adjust the color to the type of lighting to avoid dominating color.
Birdhouse: like with Almost, Birdhouse emerges a new Black 6 series with the same technology but new graphics.
Black Label: The riders of Black Label are fed up with the fact that when they land, their wheels touch the board by turning too strong. Therefore they had the idea to release the Black Hole. As you can see from the pictures it is a digging (routing for insiders) in the folds under the wheels so the wheels don’t touch anymore.a good idea but that could weaken the boards … Something to test for sure 
Blind: Eternal Life.A process very close to the Uber Technology (see above or in the following video)
Darkstar: Last year, almost two years ago,Darkstar was releasing the Light Armor technology. Une board avec un pli en carbone qui était presque incassable car elle devenait toute molle à la fin. A board with a ply in carbon that was almost unbreakable because it used to soften in the end.Well for 2008, Darkstar has reviewed the composition of its carbon composite and released the C2, a carbon composite with 2 times more fiber for greater strength. No doubt that it works very well.
Element: last year I test the Element Helium and I enjoyed the lightness but It broke fast on a simple trick … The team had to have the same problem and asked for stronger decks. That is why the brand releases the Push Carbon Fiber Helium. It is a board that combines Helium and carbon fiber technology.
En faite la planche à la fois des chambres d’helium à l’intérieur, et une couche sur les 7 qui est faite en fibre de carbone, une couche interne entre les deux plis centraux (Fiberlight) et à la fois du vernis léger; La board est donc optimisée au maximum et je dois avouer que je n’ai qu’une envie …. la tester. In fact the board has both chambers of helium inside, and a layer on the 7 which is made of carbon fiber, an inner layer between the two Central plies (Fiberlight) and also light varnish ; The board is therefore optimized to the maximum and I must confess that I have only one desire …. to test it.
Stereo: being a year late behind Habitat, Stereo goes technic with the Bamboo. A technology already tested on lesiteduskate, which works fairly well and has above all a "touch nature" that many brands are looking for, such as Anagram or lakai.
Powell: From his side Powell releases the Brite lite, I think it already existed last year but wasn’t too much talked about. With the Lite Brite Construction the board is 5% lighter (only) and less thick.The board has the same technical characteristics but is thiner, however, the board uses the K12’s, a deeper concave . It seems strange but that is what the brand said.
So that’s a preview of what will be possible to find in 2008 in your skateshop.

We will and we already did Dwayne (Armor light, ubber, Push Carbon ,Fiber Helium, bamboo…just earch the tests) …but right now we already have 6 boards to test …So for my brother and I it’s like 2 or 3 month of skateboarding…

These are older, you didn’t mention the Black Light from Black Label, oR the Fiber Prime offered from Foundation (Toy MAchine?). Plus ConSolidated offered a new improvement too.

Deathwish (LOVED) is nice graphic, but i bought a new one yesterday, and i didn’t really ride it, a manual and an ollie.
today i did one ollie and the tail broke, and i’m like “What the heck man? I just bought this, I’m thirteen and I’m not even 170 lbs, and the friggin thing breaks?”
i spent all my money on the complete and have no money for the new xbox360 games i wanted or even to replace the board.
