Tensor trucks Magnesium Response Red black Anodized : the lightest truck in the world
Still at the forefront of innovation, Tensor trucks, the brand that invented the "Slider polymer", is now back with the Magnesium truck. A truck full of technology that we received in a nice box Tensor trucks. After the test of the 100% french set up we will talk about the components of the lightest set up on the market.
The product: Tensor Magnesium Response Red black Anodized 5.0 Lo
The slogan: "Lighter than light"
The specifics: No Slider on this model, Tensor has released the same thing with Slider.
25% lighter than conventional truck like Independent or Royal (330gr)
After several hours of tests, riders’ opinions and rework, they have finally found the right formula that combines light weight and strength.
"Tensor has finally developed the best magnesium for practicing skateboard with a truck that keeps the strength for which Tensor was known." Official blabla

Regarding the characteristics of magnesium, according to Wikipedia the alkaline earth metal formula MG has low mechanical properties but is very light (third times lighter than aluminum). It is primarily intended for the manufacturing of small-resistant suitcase, laptops boxes or cameras high end cameras. It is also used in aeronautics and automobiles to minimize weight.
Some alloys based on magnesium are also used to make castings for cars and machinery. It is this case which concerns us because our truck is not actually 100% in magnesium.
PS: Destructo will also release a truck with magnesium which is also lighter than 25%. Copying or same idea at the same time …..? Thank you for the image Himed
Weight: 252 grams what makes a weight gain of about 25% compared to a normal truck. So on a deck you win 156 grams compared to a conventional deck.
Add to these trucks, éS Scale, the Board Element Helium or Birdhouse Black 6 and wheels
Spitfire Hard Line and you get the the lightest set up on the market.
Finishes: No problem such as shifted paint on Silver. The anodized hanger gives a particular style rather quickly recognizable. (check right pic)
Other colors / models:
Magnesium response with slider on the left
Price: about 35 euros depending on the shops. Cheap! even 40 euros is reasonable
The test:
- Frozen Effect called anodized ……… quite stylish.
- Still the teeth on the base which falls within the board for a better maintained.
- unlike the Ace’s, gums are incredibly hard ….. after 3 sessions, still hard to turn.
- The truck has not folded despite big gaps in Paris park.
- The base is reworked to accommodate a skate key there (to tighten the Nut)
- Like all brands, Tensor has still failed to invent the axis which does not get used while smith grinding.
- No concerns about grindability , Bercy was much too waxed this weekend. So I went to test in Paris and no worries … at the same time there are only metal edges there (I know what you are going to say: I always have an excuse to say they grind well)
- To make ollies, this lightness gives tremendous comfort. It is like return to the future with just a deck…..
- The Tensor box will not be sold with the trucks
You can see the magnesium gets used quickly. Look at the picture, I rode with it 7 times and we already don’t see the Tensor logo anymore eventhough it is engraved deeply .

whats the different between tensor magnesium slider and response?
There is no slider on this model
And the main difference is that the truck is 25% lighter than conventional truck
I think this truck is likely Titanium´s Ti-lite, isnt?
Maybe Ti-Lite are better cause it have a screew in the middle.
